This isn’t my first experience with therapy. In fact, I came into it feeling disillusioned, believing I might be broken beyond repair and that therapy simply wouldn’t work for me. But working with Ms. Sadia has been an entirely different experience. From the very beginning, I felt safe and understood in a way I hadn’t before. She is highly competent, deeply solution-focused, and has a way of getting right to the heart of things. I’ve been able to open up about difficult issues, including self-image, identity, emotional and marital struggles. Even though I’ve only had a few sessions so far, I already have a sense that I am in the right hands and that my therapy is heading in a meaningful, constructive direction. What stands out most to me is that I don’t leave sessions with a vague dissatisfaction or confusion ,instead, I walk away with clarity, a plan, and a sense of purpose. For the first time, I feel hopeful about therapy and confident in the process. Working with her has created in me a genuine and newfound respect not only for her as a therapist, but for the profession as a whole.
