Talk to Cardiologist on Cholesterol

Asking for Self, Male, 42 years old, Essa Khel

"Hi Doctor, I am seeking some advice regarding my cholesterol medication. I recently visited for a check-up, and it was suggested that I add another 20mg dose to my current regimen. My cholesterol levels have been consistently around 230-240 mg/dL for the past 6-12 months. My triglycerides also fluctuate between high and normal levels. Currently, I am being managed with medication alone without any specific dietary intervention. Given the suggestion to increase the dosage, I would like to know how best to take these two 20mg pills. Should I take them both together, or is there a specific schedule I should follow to ensure the treatment is both safe and effective? I look forward to your guidance."one report is fresh and one report is 1 year old 8.4mmol/L

Older report had very high LDL and Triglycerides

Current report is better.

You should continue 20 mg Rosuvastatin. No addition of any medicine.

If you are taking 20 mg Atorvastatin, stop it and take rosuvaststin 20 mg. Tab Rovista 20 mg once a day in evening time.

Have HbA1c levels done and fasting blood sugar
