azithromycin is generally considered safe but can affect the ECG in very few cases. especially in people who are taking drugs for control of heart rate.
you should use it with caution if you're already taking rate changing drugs or if the ECG or patient already has been labeled as having a prolonged QT interval by a doctor
no its not suitable and doesnt covers infection even for non cardiac patients.
