“My son is 5 years old. Since early childhood he had very high screen time (mobile/TV/tablet), but we reduced/stopped it about 1–2 years ago. Despite this, he still has strong behavior issues. The above mentioned symptoms are behavioral issues for which you need parental training to better manage them at home. For ruling out neurodevelopment disorder like ADHD/Autism some questions need to ask.
Get him diagnosed for Autism Spectrum from child psychologist. It is not necessary to have family history of Autism/Behavorial disorders to have to develop in a child of this age.

it could be autism but we need proper assessment and psychological testing to make sure either it's autism or ADHD or any other neurodevelopmental disorder.
Some tantrums and emotional reactions are normal at 5 years old, but frequent screaming, hitting, aggression, and difficulty calming down are not typical for this age.
Early excessive screen time can affect a child’s:
emotional control
patience
attention and impulse control
Even if screens were reduced later, the effects can continue without proper support.
This behavior is not just bad behavior. It may be related to:
emotional regulation delay
ADHD
anxiety
sensory or developmental concerns

Get a developmental/behavioral assessmeìnt
Start behavior therapy or parent guidance
