salam my first molar tooth is decayed only a small part is visible over gum and a small part of gum is visible over tooth tooth is not painful but gum makes problem when it touch the food i want to save it local dentist says it need to be extracted but i want to save it
take a second opinion. can you upload x-ray of the tooth?
do you have a picture of it? and have you done any x-ray of it??
clinical picture is not good but RCT + post + crown might save it. get it checked again by another dentist

Hello. please upload the x-ray for the said tooth. in some instances grossly carious teeth can be saved but have a guarded long term prognosis. You will be asked to moderate your eating habits to prolong the treatment.

Hello. the x-ray shows that the carious lesion is BELOW the bone level. In such cases it's always good to get it extracted and replace it. If someone ambitiously tries to save it, the Ultimate prognosis may be poor. hope this helps

dear Dr ayesha, after endo core built up, the tooth crown can easily be lengthened and a crown can be provided. if a tooth can be saved , it must be saved ! particularly when patient is keen
