hello i am 26 years female MF 1 year.I took clomid from 2-6 days of my cycle and during that i developed gums swelling(gingivitis) .I am having ferti M injections for day 6,8, is my cycle day 8,i want to ask can i take augmentin for my infection while on these injections? Does it affect ovulation induction?

hi augmentin(penicillin)is one of the safest drug and doesnot have any effect on pregnqncy or fetal development,as it doesnt cross barrier,So you can have it for dental infections/gingivitis

Tablet Augmentin is safe to use. But the real question is why do you need to have Augmentin at the first place? Do you have any severe swelling?fever? difficulty in opening your mouth? if any of these is not present then you simply don't need any antibiotic. Rather use local antibiotic gel that is Revomet Plus Gel. apply on the area where there is gum swelling. Use Benzyclor mouthwash twice daily for 2 weeks.
If there is swelling,fever, limited mouth opening then you sould visit an oral surgeon.

I had severe swelling and pain and i had to take augmentin,it was my third dose today.I just wanted to ask will it affect my ovulation induction? Tomm is cycle day 10 and i have to take ferti M injection

Yes dear it will not effect according to the research Augmentin is the safest medicine to have. But just for your concern you can always contact your gynecologist and ask her that can you take Augmentin for your gum swelling during your treatment just to counter check

yes medicine for fertility are hormones. So hormones always trigger the gum swellings .

Firstly provide some more history in regards. Plus Augmentin is safe to use during pregnancy.
Although Augmentin is a safe drug to use, still I think its best to consult your gynecologist to evaluate that. Also if there is swelling that is being triggered only by drug, Augmentin may not have any effect too. It needs evaluation as to what the etiology is. Consultation with a Marham verified gynecologist and with a Marham verified dentist in your area is mandatory.

that redness could be due to hormonal imbalance to whom you might considering gingivitis, well don't worry about it. don't go for augmentin , rinse your mouth enziclor mouth which should be diluted with tap water. 1 cup of mouthwash in a glass of water that more than enough. rest have consultation with your gynecologist for further opinion.
