You might need thorough polishing. After scaling teeth become rough and more prone to plaque accumulation. Kindly get your detailed polishing again
if polishing was not done that is a major cause of retartar due to rough surface.plus your diet and saliva plays major role.brushing two times a day properly is enough.with proper technique.
It might not be tartar, but the roughness that is common after scaling. Repeat polishing if not done properly earlier. Regular use of dental floss and mouthwash along with twice brushing ( after breakfast, before going to bed) is recommended to maintain a good oral hygiene.
