Your mother's fasting glucose of 170 mg/dL is above the usual target for most people with type 2 diabetes and suggests that her diabetes may not be adequately controlled. Her blood pressure also needs monitoring.
When her stomach becomes upset, pain, vomiting, dehydration, anxiety, or discomfort can temporarily increase blood pressure, but recurrent episodes of BP around 160 mmHg accompanied by severe headache should not simply be attributed to gastric problems.
Please check her BP correctly after she has rested quietly for 5–10 minutes, and repeat it after another 5 minutes if it is high. Keep a record of her morning/evening BP and blood glucose readings.
Because she has diabetes and hypertension, I recommend an in-person medical review soon to assess her current medications and consider tests such as HbA1c, kidney function/electrolytes, urine albumin, lipid profile and an ECG, depending on her clinical history. Her diabetes and BP medications should not be stopped or changed without medical advice.
