Question

My daughter is 5 months old MashALLAH. It has been a few days that she wakes up with a swollen left eye. There is no excessive water or redness in the eye. Sometimes I make her sleep on the left side due to nasal congestion. She also has a viral cold and flu. Is it because of the cold?

she might b having allergy or viral conjunctivitis. needs examination

Yes this might be due this viral infection in the adjacent area. Better to get checked.

Salam adding to my worthy colleagues. Being a paediatric ophthalmologist I would like to rule out capillary haemangioma and a sinus mucocele . A picture would help before and after swelling however nothing beats a clinical exam which is mandatory in this case
