Talk to Eye Surgeon on Cytomegalovirus Or Conjunctivitis

person-avatar

Asking for Other, Male, 21 years old, Lahore

My 21 years old nephew caught eye virus/infection that looked like pink eye at first. After 30 days it still has not resolved. His vision is still blurry. Now one of the doctors has suggested that he may have Cytomegalovirus. For which he recommended him to use antiviral drug Ganciclovir (Zirgan). Is this or similar antiviral is available in Pakistan that you can help us find. Also, we would like to meet you for second opinion. Thanks

CMV is not so common but its a sight threatening disease and it requires proper evaluation, examination and tests before label it as CMV disease.

Salam
I am not sure if this is the case. Acyclovir is readily available but not not sure of the other type.
You can visit when convenient.
Regards
Huma
