What alternatives are present for Famila 28F? I want to start hormonal birth control, and couple of years back, my doctor had mentioned famila 28. But when i take it, it gives me acne. Any other alternative available?

Please consult a gynaecologist as before starting hormonal pills it is important to get a detailed history of you and your family and examination is also necessary. If you get acne then other alternative contraception methods are also available which your gynaecologist will give options of.

First to check which hormones in Contraceptives affecting u to give acne most probably Estrogen .
U can have progestogen only Contraceptives .
Can have cerazette,medroxyprogesterone injection for 8 or 12 wks ,, Levenogestrel containing Contraceptives etc as progesterone containing more safe but any hormonal contraceptives taken for long time can have side effects .
So it better to avoid for long duration.
