Talk to Gynecologist on Consanguinity

Salam Respected Dr! I am from Pakistan.

I need your opinion about Consanguinity. I got a proposal from my first both parents are mutually first cousins too.

My issue is that his(who sent proposal) brother recently diagnosed with adult onset of grand mal epilepsy.

I read on Google that research show that in about 60% cases parents of epileptic patient were found to be cousins.

Accepting this proposal & getting married to this cousin will increase chances of epilepsy in future generation?

Being a doctor,i am very much concerned about that. Kindly give your valuable opinion on this matter. Regards!
