Cracked Nipples

Question

Assalam o alaikum, My baby is 7.5 months old Alhamdullilah and on mother feed.  I have got a very severe cut on my right sides&quot; nipple may be due to starting of the teething process of my baby. The cut is actually on the joining line of aerola and nipple that i am not be able to feed my baby as it hurts so badly . I have applied breast milk and polyfax but all in vein. What can i do? I have a blister problem since birth as well so I fear if i\'ll not feed there will be a big blister then..

May be due to problem with Latching on .
Better to be seen physically , if possible .
Baby shouldn't be allowed to bite at nipple, rather nipple areola complex should be in baby's mouth to suckle

continue to apply breast milk, express breast milk in a cup & give by spoon ,dont feed from that side for 2-3 days

Apply bepanthen cream on crack nipples and wash them before feeding your baby

Continue applying poly fax and avoid feeding from that side for 3 days so that it heals. However express milk manually or by pump.
