Asking for Sister, Female, 33 years old, Islamabad
My sister has a history of very painful periods for more than 10 years. The pain starts a week before the period and continues till a few days after period ends. Ultrasounds are normal. The painkillers doctors suggest do nothing to reduce the pain. She is not married yet. Is there any option to do laparoscopy to find if she has endometriosis and then given treatment to reduce her pain?

-Dear check for other causes and their investigations, and treatment .
-avoid constipation and take easily digestable food.
-plenty of water and fruits and vegetables better to have.
-have complete treatment of any health issue u have.
-have recreational activities and quit recreational drugs.
-have tab ponstan 500 mgs 8 hrly for 3-5 days in which pain suspected.
-can have Cyclic progesterone as well like from day 4 to day 25 tab norethisterone 5 mgs twice daily for 3 cycle in each cycle and then follow after 3 cycles to discuss symmptoms after applying all precautions.
-I hope things would be better.

Yes she can have a diagnostic at the same time therapeutic laparoscopy but better to give a harmonal treatment trial first
