Talk to Gynecologist on Ovulation And Pregnancy

Actually i am a patient of pcos and my periods are irregular from very start of my puberty i consulted 3 to 4 drs in past one and half year nd visit them many times they all told me that pcos is not a hurdle to pregnancy and also u can still ovulate without periods but i was not ready to believe them so i was disturbed badly by my irregular periods with all medications i am also on metformin nd did seed cycling one month and at the time when i was waiting for my periods i did my ovulation test randomly and due to symptoms it turn out positive now my question is this the test was accurate or it was just a error and if it is accurate then pregnancy is possible in this type of late and irregular ovulation?Kindly guide me about
