Asking for Self, Female, 21 years old, Karachi

Question From Gynacologists: Are regular in take of tablets by a female partner effective enough to prevent pregnancy? We are having a baby of six months and want a good enough gap for our second child. Further, are intake of tablets harmful for fertility and breastfeeding baby? Any other effective recommendation if this process is not effective or harmful. Thank You.

Intake of oral contraceptive pills is a very good method for contraception , but it stops milk production in a breast feeding mother.
You should use progesterone injection or IUCD

Birth control pills can be taken successfully after baby has started weaning. Not harmful at all. It is very good and effective way of contraception if used correctly, in young mothers.
