My aunt her age is 47, was diagnosedof Herpes Simplex virus encephalitis through MRI and LP test from aga khan hospital, her treatment is continue from 5 days but still she has not recover completely. Yet she doesn't know how to eat and drink and she also can't talk well. The Injection Aclovir 750 mg 3 times a day and ensur plus for she get well or not

It depends. If late diagnosis then possible to have some long lasting problems. If diagnosed and started treatment immediately then can recover completely Insha’ALLAH. In either case she should complete minimum 14 days of IV Acyclovir.

Thank you so much Dr sb. She was diagnosed after 10 days and treatment was started at 11th day, now she is take Acyclovir 750 mg three times a day and it will continue for 21 days accordingly to her consultant.
