Asking For Self, Male, 23 Years old, lahore
4 months after possible exposure, I got tested negative for HIV from Chughtai lab. it was a 4th generation HIV test. The patient value was 0.05. Then I did another test from Shaukat Khanum. 1 month after the initial test, the patient value was again 0.05. As much as I have searched, the values come different each time due to many factors. I worry that these labs are giving out fake results to everybody with the same values, copy and paste, am i worrying too much or should i do another test for peace of mind? such as PCR / NAAT
Your negative results at 4 and 5 months with a 4th-generation test are highly reliable, and the consistent values don’t mean the labs are faking results—it just shows no HIV was detected. A PCR/NAAT test isn’t necessary unless you need extra peace of mind, but there’s really no reason to worry further.
No need further test dear. You have no hiv infection, don't be worried any more. Do follow precautions of safety. Ok
4th genartion (antigen and antibody combo test) will came positive after 1 st month of exposure, it is even negative on 4 the month. Stay cool.

Thank you so much sir for your response, I am now afraid I have neurosyphilis, I had round red marks on my palm that lasted 2 days, but all of my chugtai labs test, FTA ABS, VDRL RPR, TPA are negative. Are they reliable? can you have neurosyphilis with negative serum tests? please respond, im stuck in life.

The consistent value doesn't matter, but it should be below 1. These values are showing that you are HIV negative. No need of PCR.

If screening tests are nonreactive then there is no need to process further, although molecular tests are more sensitive.
