Chronic Sleep Maintenance Insomnia

Question

I was wrongly given Prednisolone by a lung specialist in April 2024 as he though I had asthma ( actually had gastritis). I only took prednisolone for 9 days and ever since I can barely sleep for more than 4-5 hours. Sometimes even 2-3 hours. I never had sleep issues before taking the wrongly prescribed steroid. It’s been 10 months and even with a lot of effort from my side, there is no improvement in my sleep.

Steroids dose not cause sleep problems if used for less than two weeks start with tab frizium 10 mg at night

You should get a physical examination by an internist and psychiatrist. Afterwards get a Cognitive Behavioral the ray for insomnia by a clinical psychologist. If these steps do not help, then take Lunesta 1 mg at night time. You have to be cautious if you feel depress next day, in which case do not use it.

for sleep u can start short acting benzodiapine like bromazepam diazepam than tapper off the dose even melatonin natural sleep hormone
