This is my mothers knee xray and her leg swelled from knee to toe no other issue like diabetic .dr did this x ray and said its not a big problem but take food milk yoghurt paneer and gave pain killer only. I want to knw what is the main problm .coz she still has unbearable pain and cant move her leg.
the main problem is arthritis on the inside of knee joint. X-ray showing reduced space between two bones.
now when space is reduced, soft tissues in the joint can get trapped between two bones and get damaged which causes more pain. this is called degenerative meniscal tears.
treatment is painkillers if they don't work then surgery.
she should stop sitting on floor and do some gentle Physio
