Talk to Orthodontist on Impacted Tooth Traction I

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Female, 32 years old, Islamabad

Assalam-o-Alaikum. I am a 32-year-old, and I have an impacted tooth. My orthodontic (braces) treatment is already in progress for spacing issues. What treatment plan would you suggest for my impacted tooth? There is no ankylosis according to my CBCT scan. Is traction possible???

Orthodontist in Lahore - Dr. Irfan Ullah

Yes, traction may be possible if CBCT confirms no ankylosis and the tooth is in a favorable position. The final decision depends on the tooth's angulation, depth of impaction, root morphology, available space, and its relationship to adjacent structures. Please continue treatment under your orthodontist, who can determine whether surgical exposure and orthodontic traction are feasible.
