My mother age 68 has calcium and vitamin D diffidence. She was taking Osteocare 3 tab daily and Biodal 50000 one tab weekly. Now the medicine finished and I am not sure they are available here. Kindly advice what to do.
Ask about alternative medicine like cac-1000 or qalsan-d for calcium supplements, vitamin-d3 injection are easily available.
how much has she taken already? too much calcium can make stones in body.
calcium medicine are really available everywhere. no shortage.
I suggest to get the blood test for VitD3 and calcium checked again for present levels. Only then I can suggest appropriate medicines. There are plenty of preparations available in Pakistan to treat calcium and vit D 3 deficiency. So don’t worry about the medicines all alternatives are available
for how long she is taking these medicines??
too much calcium and vitamib D. i will suggest stop supplements and get calcium vitamin D level after 2 weeks then will adjust dose accordingly.
