This is the x-ray, doctor is advising to insert rode to avoid complications of inserting plates or avoiding major cuts.. for now operation is delayed due to bruises on skin.. here i want experts opinion what would be more better inserting rode or putting plate by operation... please give your precious advice.

need to see the patient clinically ,then we can plan, according to x-rays ,plating is advised for this mature paired bone fracture
Plate is preferable option, but if condition is not good and there is wound rod (nail) is also an option, if there are only bruise can wait few says till skin become healthy then go for plate fixation.
