Summary about Planter Wart in English

Plantar warts are small growths that usually occur on the heels or other supporting areas of your feet. This pressure can also cause the formation of plantar warts under a thick, hard skin layer (callus). Plantar warts are caused by HPV. The virus enters your body through small cuts, fractures, or other weaknesses in the lower part of your feet. Most plantar warts are not a serious health problem and usually go away without treatment. You can try self-treated treatments or consult your wart remover.

While in most cases, the warts resolve naturally, it is essential to give proper treatment to the painful ones. The incubation timeframe or the time gap between the infection and the symptom appearance is estimated to be from maybe a few months to multiple years.

Plantar wart meanings in Urdu is نالی کا مسسا (Naali ka Massa)

Symptoms of Planter Wart

Plantar wart signs and symptoms include: The plantar wart symptoms are:

  • A growth on the feet’s bottom that is small, meaty and unsmooth and grainy. It usually forms on the toes’, forefeet or heel’s downward facing side.
  • A callus formation on a distinct skin area where the wart has experienced inward growth.
  • Appearing black spots also known as wart seeds. These are actually miniature and clotted blood vessels.
  • A lesion could also form which could cause disturbance in the natural lines and ridges in the feet’s skins.
  • The individual feeling pain when they attempt to walk or stand.

Causes of Planter Wart

Plantar warts show up due to infection with HPV. This infection happens on the skin’s outer layer. The formation occurs when the virus gets inside the body via small cuts, breaks or even week spots on the feet’s bottom.

While HPV is a fairly common virus with about a hundred types, only few cause the warts over the feet. Other, more common places to infect are the skin areas apart from the feet and the mucous membrane.

Each person's immune system responds differently to HPV. Not everyone who comes in contact with it How one’s immune system responds to HPV varies from person to person; not all those who touch it or are in contact with it go on to grow warts. In fact, even family members react to HPV in different ways.

In any case, HPV types that lead to the plantar wart growth are not that contagious and, hence, transmission from one individual to the other is not easy. However, these strains grow optimally in damp and warm conditions. So, one could contract the virus when they walk around swimming pools without any proper shoe wear on. Furthermore, if the virus ends up going to other areas from the initial infected site, even more warts could materialize.

Treatment

Most plantar warts are harmless and disappear on their own, though it may take a year or two. If your warts are painful or spreading, you may want to try over-the-counter (nonprescription) medications or home remedies to treat them. You may need several treatments before warts disappear, and they may reappear later. If self-care methods aren't working, consult your doctor about the following treatments:

  • A potent peeling agent (salicylic acid): Prescription-strength salicylic acid wart medications work by removing layers of a wart one at a time. They may also boost your immune system's ability to combat the wart.
  • Minor surgery: With an electric needle, your doctor removes or destroys the wart (electrodesiccation and curettage). Because this procedure can be painful, your doctor will first numb your skin. Because surgery carries the risk of scarring, it is rarely used to treat plantar warts unless all other treatments have failed.
  • Treatment with a laser: The pulsed-dye laser treatment cauterizes (burns closed) tiny blood vessels. When the infected tissue dies, the wart falls off. This method necessitates three to four weeks of follow-up treatments. There is little evidence that this method is effective, and it can cause pain and possibly scarring.

Risk Factors of Planter Wart

Anyone can develop plantar warts, but this type of wart is more likely to affect: While plantar warts could occur in anyone, children and teenagers, basically young and very young people are more at risk. Those who have a weak immune system are almost likely. Moreover, those people who had this infection before in their life are also more likely to catch the condition.

Lastly, those who go regularly to damp and warm places like the swimming pool, and walk barefoot near them have a higher risk.

Preventive Measures of Planter Wart

One could take certain precautions in order to avoid plantar warts.

  • One should not come into direct contact with any warts, including one’s own. If the person does end up touching any he/she should rinse their hands properly with water.
  • Keeping feet sterile and dry is also important. Different shoes should be worn just about every day.
  • One should also not walk around swimming pools without any shoes on.
