Dear Doctor, My left index finger was amputated more than three years ago. Since then, I have had persistent pain and a burning sensation at the amputation site. Based on my symptoms, I believe I have developed a neuroma along with phantom pain. 1 year ago, after examination, an orthopedic surgeon prescribed pregabalin for two months, which reduced the pain by about 50%, but the symptoms returned after stopping the medication. He advised that, surgery to remove the neuroma and bury the nerve in muscle may be considered if the medication failed. Over time, my hand grip has also gradually weakened, and I feel vibrations in my hand and fingers when my arm is in a stretched position. I would like to know if you could evaluate and manage my case. If so, I would be glad to book an appointment. Kind regards,
thank you for writing down what you are feeling clearly, Jazak Allah khair.
