my mother has neck masses her fnac report says she has granulomas composswd of epithloid cels and multi nuclinated gaint cells with background population of mature lymphocytes does it indicates cancer
She has tuberculosis of lymph nodes.
show her to yr doctor for medications.
She could have sarcoidosis .but need further evaluation .

U can share the chest X RAYS n other tests .must be evaluated by a chest physician / PULMONOLOGIST either in islamabad near to you or in lahore .

dear dr M Khan, thank u for yr replies. I strongly diasgree with what u said, sarciodosis is a disease of young ppl and its an autoimmune disorder with mutiorgan imvolvement commonly lungs. this pt is 50+ in age and has no other problems apart from palpable nonpainful lymph node groups in cervical area. being in Pakistan TB is a common diagnosis and thats what she has. however i did say get her xrays and if need HRCT can be done later if any suspecion noted. regards.

Dear um not saying it s definitely sarcoidosis .indeed she need proper further evaluation , as proper history not given here she might have other signs and sypmtoms which can be dig only on examination .I was commenting that sarcoidosis can present with out lymph node enlargement too .secondly it s no more a disease of young .there are case reports even after 40s too .
Regarding this patient it will be unethical to start on ATT with out proper diagnosis ,I know most of physicians doing this practice here in pak .
There s a long list of DD of cervical lymphodenopatgy but still I will go only with detail history ,examination and if needed further test .

Agreed. She needs full assessment.
I would go for a lymph node biopsy first, then decide further.

her lymphnodes are getting larger they are moveable but very hard and they are multiple on collerbone benind the ear
