Hello, a reconstruction of a fully functioning finger is also an option but it required that we transfer your 2nd toe from your foot to your hand. this is called a toe to finger transfer. This is a prolong surgery takes about 8 hours followed by 6-8 days of ICU stay for monitoring.
The other option is to make a stump formation and make it cosmetically better looking.
prosthesis are always available custom made which can be worn and taken off easily but they give an artificial feel.

yes, lost fingers can be restored with a procedure called toe to hand transfer in which second toe of feet is transfered to replace lost finger of hand. best of luck
