Asking for Other, Male, 3 years old, Multan

Slaam. My son is havimg chronic cough since mid December. Dr recommended CBC. He was having flu also when they took blood for test. His blood results are showing low neutrophils and high lymphocytes. Can you please guide me on this? I am attaching report.

One more thing I want to ask is there any difference in male and female child neutrophils and lymphocytes numbers?

Thank you.

wasalam. lymphocytes are usually increased in viral infection, some parasitic infection like toxo, lymphoma, TB and few less common. however it is better to get check up to rule out other causes like lymphoma which is quite common in kids.
2. no difference of cell counts as far as gender is concerned.
I hope it would help u.
regards.

Can you comment on his report? Does WBC increase in lymphoma?

He is having cough and flu also. His one nech lymph node is enlarged. Should I be concerned ?

No significant diff in male and female cbc. ymphocytes are raised in chronic infections like TB and brusilosis etc.
get him checked by a nearby good pulmonologist. we will also need to see his x ray.
