Does pirfenidone really work on lung scaring? I'm using as from past 6 months but I didn't work as much as I took. secondly, What is pure use of this medicine I didn't see only one pharma manufacturing this medicine but others don't.

this drug is used in patients of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) ,it is used to stop disease progression .Liver function tests should be monitored if someone is using this drug

Pirfinedone has no role in chest scaring.

Thanks, so what thing so far proved benefited in reducing chest scaring that I can eat/drink.

We need to know what that actual scaring is. Is it a sequelae of a previous infection or you have some underlying ILD. Hence history with radiographic imaging is required. Please book an appointment if you have Radiology work up done.
