Assalamu alaykum.respected pulmonologist my queation is regarding Corona Virus...How does this virus enter someones body.What are the possible ways to stay safe(that are practically possible).And how does this virus kill someone.I mean does it injure pulmonary veins

Dear it needs a long answer but to make it simple patient gets infected by coming in contact with patients who have cough and fever from corona virus...also by touching surfaces which have cotona virus on them...
It usually turns into pneumonia and causes respiratory distress called ARDS in technical terms...and these patients need mechanical ventilation

Transmission is like other viruses like flu with one difference that as Corona virus Is heavy in weight so it settles on surfaces like table top. So when u touch such surfaces u are likely to infect yourself as you rub on your face through eyes ,nose and mouth.That is why u r asked to wash your hands repeatedly and not to touch your face
