Talk to Pulmonologist / Lung on Severe Cough
Asking for Wife, Female, 41 years old, rawalpindi
assalam u alaykum.
my wife age 40 years 8 months is having severe cough.
Every winter she gets severe cough.
Please advise best medicines/syrrups that she must use through out the dry and cold winter season.
Also please clarify if the same medicines/syrrups that you will advise be safely used by children below 6 years???

Most likely she is suffering from "cough variant asthma".She needs proper checkup,spirometry and inhaler.
Mostly no role of cough syrup in any respiratory diseases.
better is to go for homeopathic treatment for permanent cure instead of for management.

it is always better u see a Chest physician and let him examine your wife properly along with tests. it is difficult to give treatment on such complaints.

Use anti allergic like cetrizine tablets 3 times a day, seritide inhaler SOS, prednisone tablet 5 mg 3 times a day, tablet ciproxin 5oomg 2times a day and tablet paracetamol.
