person-avatar

Asking for Wife, Female, 29 years old, Lahore

My wife delivered a healthy baby on January 11, 2020. During C-sec, doctor observed some nodes in her abdomen and took some sample and sent for biopsy/histopathology. Its report showed that there is suspicion of omental tuberculosis. We were then referred to Gastroenterologist for further work up of TB. The Gastro doctor asked for chest x-ray and CT scan (abdomen and pelvis), reports attached. Upon seeing the reports, the doctor advised CA-125 test (report enclosed). We want seek some advice from a senior consultant that what does these reports say and what is the significance of CA-125 in our case.

PS: No history of cough, fever or weight loss.

Since the CT scan didnot find any significant lymphnodes we need to revisit the biopsy report and take a second opinion on the same slides.Could be reactice lymph nodes lisread as tuberculous.Dr Khawar Abbas Chaudhry
