Hi I'm 23 years old, 1.5 months ago I was diagnosed with microcytic(iron deficiency) anemia, I went through iron IV injections now alhamdulliah I have recovered from anemia my hb is 14 now.
A few days ago I felt irregular pain in my thighs after a very little walk and at rest I was feeling comfortable. After vitamin D and calcium test my vitamin is 7.5 while calcium is in the normal range. I took vitamin d supplement but still feeling pain in thighs and increased heart beat to 120 on little walk or muscle movement. please note that month ago my ecg and echo was absolutely normal.
I fear whether it's a serious problem or just normal because of vitamin d deficiency. I have no medical history till this age.
please get your ECG done and BP checked . Also if possible get your sugar and cholesterol levels checked.Do you smoke or take niswar ?
Check vitals like Pulse rate, Blood pressure, Respiratory rate . Also do baseline blood and urine test, Iron studies , CXR, ECG . Once these baseline tests are done. Then consult internal medicine specialist and he will take detail history . May be you will need further work up .

Salam dear!
I just came from the track with 30 minutes of jogging and I'm having severe pain in my thighs, legs and all body. When your body is not used to activity then this is very normal on very mild exercise. Plz be relaxe, dnt go for fancy investigatins, try to bhild your stamina.
Keep taking iron, calcium and Vit-D supplements because not only you; majority of us are deficient in these things because of our unhealthy diet and lifestyle.
Request marham for an appointment and i will give you this consultation for free.

Need investigations for Anaemia .plz book an appointment with specialist . Thanks
Do you have muscular weakness as well with the pain? And do you feel pain while pressing on the muscles? Low Vit D can cause pains but I think you should get some further tests as well to look for any other reasons. Your increased heart rate with mild exertion is also very concerning. Have you checked your thyroid profile? And you might also need to get further tests to look at your heart. Lastly what was the reason for your Iron deficiency? You should find out the underlying cause for that as well because just replacing the iron is not enough, you also have to cure the underlying disease that caused the iron def in the first place.

Yes this is not a good sign that your heart rate jumps this high with minimal activity. You should repeat your ECG and Echo. Also check your BP while sitting and while standing. Also you need to find out the cause of your iron deficiency bcoz it’s not normal for a young man to have iron def.
