I've been diagnosed with syphilis and HIV. I took Doxycycline but i am facing rashes again which looks like syphilis rash. What to do in this condition
Kindly visit an Infectious diseases consultant near you. do not rely on HIV centers and get any treatment from urologists. Doxycycline is not the first line treatment for Syphilis. Syphilis requires thorough assessment and then it is treated with Follow up
We use Doxycycline only if you allergic to penicillin. Pencillin is the best treatment for syphillis

Actually both me and my husband are affected from HIV and syphilis. For HIV, we took ARVs for about 8 months and the viral load is undetected now. We are continuing to take the medicines for HIV. As for syphilis my vdrl/rpr and TPHA is negative and TPA value is 9. But for my husband vdrl/rpr is positive. Should we both go for penicillin now? His TPA is 22

Sister Your problem will be resolved soon. If you will suppress your HIV Syphilis it will cause another problems and your reproductive system will be effected.
Kindly don't suppress the virus.
I am dealing with this viral infection to kill permanently so that patient will not suffer in future with another disorder due to suppression.

You should get VDRL/RPR with Tiger before starting treatment. The tests should be established and recorded from a reliable lab(Aga Khan etc). You should both then be treated at the same time and after completing 3 shots of weekly benzathine penicillin 2.4 million units Intramuscular, both should avoid sexual contact with your spouse (or anyone)to get a cure, for 2 weeks. If you then have intercourse without condom with your husband you should both be ok after 2 weeks. Repeat RPR/VDRL with titer on yourself and husband 6 to 8 weeks after completing treatment. The RPR should be no reactive or had low titer ranges like 1:2 or 1:4. In 6 months to one year it should be nonreactive. Some people can start positive for a long time after cure. Just get tested for syphilis every 6 months.
