I underwent a Cystoscopy and Hydrodistention to test for Interstitial Cystitis after countless reoccurring UTIs. Cystoscopy and Hydrodistention came back negative to any traces of Interstitial Cystitis, however a Culture test came back positive to UTI. Since having the surgery (4 days ago) my symptoms have increased tenfold. I am in constant pain, I have urgency constantly, even after voiding, pain after voiding and frequency. Is this normal after a Cystoscopy and Hydrodistention? I have had these worsened symptoms for 4 days now and I am on antibiotics. However, my symptoms are just getting worse by day. Why am I in WORSE pain now after the surgery and on Antibiotics? If I don't have Interstitial Cystitis and the Antibiotics seem to have been effective in getting rid of the UTI, why on earth am I experiencing such pain? Will it go away?
Is urgency, frequency, burning after voiding and pelvic pressure and pain normal after Cystoscopy and Hydrodistention? There's no much information

From your history and investigations, i have a strong suspicion of overactive bladder with bladder pain syndrome. The cystoscopy is justifiable,however,the excruciating pain afterwards,is not. This further strengthens th diagnosis of bladder spasm. I would like to have a complete history of your ailments along with voiding pattern, bladder diary, frequency and urgency timeline, sexual history,history of contraceptives and any pelvic surgery. Asalamo alaikum.... Sorry to hear you have such a long course of illness. Sadly interstitial cystitis is extremely difficult o treat. The urology team treating you will educate more about the condition. Yes hydrodistention is one of the temporary management option.
