Diabetic Foot

A diabetic foot is a medical condition that clearly manifests any pathology of the foot that results directly from any long-term complication of diabetes mellitus. In result of diabetes blood glucose levels become too high. Over time, this can damage your nerves or a blood vessel which leads to losing feeling in feet. The person may not feel a cut, a blister or a sore and high sugar level hinders the wound healing due to which little foot injuries can cause ulcers and infections. Serious cases may even lead to amputation as antibiotics lose their effectiveness.
