Asking for Sister, Female, 24 years old, Islamabad
What is the difference between orthodontist and the one who does aesthetic treatments as I read in one of the replies from the doctor? If someone has two gaps just like another 22 y old patient had attached and wants to get them filled through composite filling or bonding, then what will be the price per gap in Islamabad? Also, what are aligners if one goes through that option? How do they work? Are they like veneers or what? And what is the price of braces for upper teeth only for closing 3 gaps in the right side only?
what is your chief complaint.show your teeth picture
orthodontists uses braces or aligners to close gaps without any Aesthetic treatment. no composite build, or veneers are used but extractions are mostly done to create space. but you have gap, so treatment will be according to your issue. veneers can be used easily for small gaps. But normal tooth tissue is removed in veneers
Aoa, there are alot of options for closing gaps, lets start from best, ortho treatment, veneers, crowns and fillings, now for each one there are different clinical specifications, are they feasible or not, does this patient has large gaps, how is his oral hygiene and the list goes on, so we have to examine the patient clinically to advise best possible treatment.
visit a good dentist he will describe u all options in details
Dear patient,
Orthodontist is a specialist who treats malocclusion of the teeth. Like crooked or misaligned teeth. It also comes in the domain of Aesthetic dentistry.
There are many cosmetic/ Aesthetic dentistry procedures like veneers , crowns, or composite bonding to close spaces.
It’s always good to book an appointment for further discussion and clarity of treatment options.
Tooth Gaps aren't filled with composite but if there are gaps between teeth then you'd have to go to an orthodontist and he/she will first check thoroughly and then tell you how they would go about it (Probably braces along with power chains are required) to close the space. Braces is a time consuming and an uncomfortable procedure especially for an adult. Aligners are much better. Aligners are a set of custom-made, clear, plastic like trays that gradually move teeth into a straighter position. An orthodontist will first properly check your teeth and then tell you if you teeth are suitable for an aligner (because some cases are too unaligned for aligners) You only have to wear those clear plastic trays in your mouth and you can take them off if you want to eat (You can't do that in braces) veneers are entirely different. They are for aesthetic procedures and not for space correction.
