How to identify the type of acne scar? I am confused about hyperpigmentation and ice pick scars.... don't know whether I m having open pores due to pimples or ice pick scars... any treatment for scars other than laser?

I have consulted many doctors but all in vain.. doctor suggested me to take isotretinoin for one month but I have read many side effects of this medicine... I want to ask is there any medicine for scars as doctors said scars won't go away without laser...
