Talk to Dermatologist on Acne Scars

I have acne scars on face from nearly 3 years. I tried every treatment (cream,lotion & facewash) but it didn't work then I heard scars will not fade away with these and A Dr recommended me Derma Roller with Vitamin C serum . I am using Derma roller of 1mm from last 7 months with serums at home and my scars are still there I am not seeing any difference in it. I am really worried about my face and can't face people because I think am not looking well. Please suggest me something that helps my skin to fade away scars
