I am a female 25 years old suffering from alopecia since I was 10. I need help, nobody is able to help me so far. It's heredity, my aunt had alopecia universalis. Please tell me what can I do to fill my bald patches. I am suffering from anxiety and self image issues because of it now. Overall my hair are very thin and few on my head and scalp is visible due to that everywhere.
can use dermovate cream sparingly on it alternate day

No treatments right now and I can't remember but I usually took some topical treatments and pills that made me gain weight or swell up. Over the years I stopped medications because I felt like they were messing up me more with little response. Now I want to find a solution or try treatment again.

Get blood C.p, Esr , ANA, LFTs and Rfts and TSH levels done.
You may have to take immunosuppressive medicine for quite long.

My tests are normal. I suffered from HEV some six months back and after than my hair fall has increased. Will immuno suppressive medication cause complications?

Its a long term disease but control is possible.
If you get your labs done and show up yourself you can prescribed on some medicines for 6 months or so.
Improvement can be expected.
One of my patients is on an immunosuppressive drugs with almost complete regrowth of hair.....

Thankyou doctor I get my full blood work done every year almost now with the help of my GP so I know that I can have vitamin deficiencies specially vitamin D (I am taking sunny D every 2,3 months) and B12(not taking anything) because my stomach doesn't absorb it that well. I haven't tried immunosuppressive medication which doesn't seem like a good idea in current pandamic but I will definitely reach after quarantine is over. Thankyou for the guidance again. M glad there is something that can be done other than injections.
