Now i got to know about syphilis, Im afraid if these are caused by that but i took tests from Chugtai Lab Lahore & RPR/VPDRL, TPA & FT ABS, all were negative in serum, but i am still concerned about this year old rash that i had, what is your opinion? what does it look like rash and can syphilis rash only last 1-2 days? please answer this. Im student i cant afford appointments, i used my savings on my tests, so please try to accommodate me in replies. thank you so much. plus im also afraid of neurosyphilis, can you have neurosyphilis with negative FTA ABS or is it ruled out? jazakallah for your time, ill pray for your health. or should i for go other lab?

The syphilis rash is usually scaly( though not always) secondly it stays for few weeks not 1-2 days, thirdly treponemal antibodies may remain positive for life even if you are treated successfully , fourthly your RPR/VDRL is also negative. So all this probably point to this not being syphilis rash. This rash could be a immune mediated hypersensitivity reaction to infections or drugs.
