Asking For Self, Male 18, begumpura main road Lahore

Asalam-o-Alaikum Doctor, I am 18 years old and currently on Day 6 of chickenpox. My symptoms started last Friday with a high fever, and the rash appeared on Saturday. Currently, I have: Extensive blisters on my face, some of which have yellow pus. Severe leg pain (bone ache) and intermittent fever. A few non-irritating spots on my arms. I have started taking Azomax for the skin infection. For the virus, I am taking Acylex (Acyclovir) 200mg. A pharmacist suggested taking 2 tablets (400mg) three times a day. However, I am concerned this dose may be too low for an adult case with facial involvement. Could you please advise if I should increase the dose to the standard 800mg five times a day, and confirm if my current treatment plan is sufficient? Thank you."

Did you go to local dermatologist, he will adjust your dose. For children it goes by weight 20 mg / kg 3-4 times a day. Adult dose is higher than that and depend upon the condition.
