Talk to Dermatologist on Chronic Psoriasis

What should I do avoid hair fall? I'm a psoriasis patient and taking methotrexate since 2017? Doctor prescribed me folic acid for first 5-6 months and then he asked me to stop. Should I take folic acid? And please tell me any alternative for methotrexate as it is short in market and I can't access my doctor during this lock down.

Your current hair fall may not be because of psoriasis or methotrexate.
You may continue your methotrexate and have your LFTs done. Afterwards, start using minoxidil hair spray twice a day for 1 month.

I don't know why your doctor stopped Tab Folic acid. It MUST be taken as long as you are taking tab methotrexate.
Secondly I did not understand fully. Are you taking tab methotrexate continually since 2017 ? Please explain details.

Yes I'm taking methotrexate continuously every week 2.5 mg two tablets in the morning and two tablets in the evening the same day.
Now methotrexate is not available and psoriasis gets worse without it.
And I can see Spaces between my hair are increasing and hair fall during bath.

I am extremely sorry but Psoriasis is not a skin disorder that can be treated or managed remotely. I wish your were here in Karachi things would have been entirely different. In my opinion you must consult your Dermatologist again. But please remember that you will have to take folic acid as long you are taking methotrexate tablets
