Talk to Dermatologist on Fungal Toe Nail
Asking For Self, Female 25, Karachi
My one toe nail has fungus since 4 years. Have gone under treatment from dermatologists.
At first the nail was normal in shape and just fungus. Now since an year, nail bed has risen and nail is thickened.
Agha Khan nail fungus test report said it's onychomycosis. Used Sporanox (Itraconazole) for ten days for two months last year but no result. Used OnychoNil paint for 6 months. Also used Jublia (enfinaconazole) for 6 months but no result.
well it has not resolved yet. must review and change antifungal. plz book on line video consultation for evaluation and proper treatment

Can you please tell if its fungal nail infection or not?
The fungus culture report says:
Fungus smear/koh prep: negative. no budding yeast cells or hyphae
fungus culture: aspergillus terreus
comments: an increasing number of nondermatophyte molds are being reported as agents of skin and particularly nail infections. These molds do not respond to dermatophyte therapy.
