Majority of shampoos are not good for your hair and health. They strip the natural protective oils from your hair, and also contain chemicals such as parabens and sulfates which are detrimental to your health in the long term. Use shampoo (preferably a mild baby shampoo) only once every 2 weeks or at most once a week, followed by conditioner. Brush your hair using a hairbrush every second day, taking care not to bush against the grain. Apply either olive or coconut oil to your hair when it's dry. Or even better a combination of oils.
