Asking for Self, Female, 24 years old, Lahore

Hi.. My treating dermat has prescribed tretinoin 0.05% to be used for 2 days a week, pea sized amount and calamine lotion for rest 5 days. In the first week when I applied tretinoin peeling started to occur which I was fine with but next day when I applied calamine lotion it got sort of burning sensation and in the morning also my skin was very irritated. I am using physiogel daily moisturizer as well and it is very thick but yet my cheeks absorb all of it and yet remain dry and irritated when touch.

Isotretinoin is an irritant and should only be prescribed to very oily and grade III acne. I personally don't like this medicine and I generally do not prescribe it. it does what's it's doing to you.
Wash your face with normal tap water. n Don't use any soaps or face washes at all. Let you face rest for s few days and meanwhile must apply Hydrocortisone cream on your face three times a day. When you are better go to a Dermatologist and have him/her prescribe you anti acne preparations.
