Hello.
intralesional steroid is the best option for the keloid. recurrence rate is higher after surgery. you may require 2 to 3 times intralesional depending on the size of the keloid.

I don't know up which speciality doctor you went to. If it's a Keloid then it's never removed by surgical means. It always gets bigger and worse. It's always injected with cortisone with a special injector called Dermojet which delivers the medicine with a force of air. No needles are used.
You will have to consult a Dermatologist in your area if the doctor has that injector.
I wish you were here in Karachi and I would have treated you with that.
