Asking For Self, Female 27, karachi

I am having Milia all over my face, specially near my eyes and forehead. I visited my doctor last week and she has suggested "CAUTERY TREATMENT".

I would like to ask few things: does it leave any scar? does it cure milia? how is the healing duration? will milia come back?

Milia are best treated either with Liquid Nitrogen spray on each milia, RF or cautery. Cautery is very old technology but if done properly there is no scarring. RF is similar to cautery and slightly less painful and does not leave any mark. Spraying Liquid Nitrogen is very safe and less painful as compared to the other two but the mark after it's use takes about 3-4 weeks to completely go away.
Whatever treatment modality is employed by the doctor, milia is shed/burnt but since you have the tendency to develop it, you will get it again at the same or different spot.
