Talk to Dermatologist on Molluscum Contagiosum

person-avatar

Asking for Other, Male, 4 years old, Karachi

My son has developed molluscum contagiosum on his face, around 12–15 small lesions. I have consulted a few doctors and most of them suggested surgical removal under minor anesthesia. However, I am concerned about possible scarring on his face and would prefer to avoid surgical procedures if there are safe alternatives. Could you please advise if there are any effective topical creams or other non-invasive treatments that can help in clearing the lesions?

Thank you for your guidance.
