Talk to Dermatologist on Nodulocystic Acne On Face
Asking for Self, Male, 22 years old, Lahore
AoA, I have been to 4 dermetologist in the past 2 years.
1 year ago, the first doc diagnosed the issue as nodulocystic acne and asked me to take isozam 10mg daily with acdermin gel application on affected area for 1 month. I completed the medicine course for 1 month but didn't get it resolved.
I visited a different doc 7 months ago and he asked me to take isozam for 1 month and use clear cream daily. I completed the course for 2 months and visited the doc in each month but the cysts are still there and my facial skin has become flaky.
Then I visited an aesthetics clinic and the doc there asked me to take photo facial and then microneedling with PRP after 15 days of facial. She asked me not to take any medicine for acne as my active acne is gone and the scars + cysts are remains of the acne.
I visited another doctor last month for consultation and that doc asked me to take hydrafacial and then prp treament after a week and asked me not to take any medicines.

U need to use oral isotretinoin for longer period ,at least 5 months
oral isotretinoin should be used with proper tests n care throughout the treatment.
U need topical treatments as well.

Mam, I have visited 4 professional dermatologists. one of them recommended acdermin gel at nights, other one recommended clear cream, and the third one recommended isotretinoin plus gel... I'm not sure with which one should I go..

dosage of isotretinoin is not correct
if oral isotretinoin is to b given should b given with proper care n follow up
dont switch drs
go to 1 competent person n follow him to avoid spoiling your skin

Firstly, I was advised to use acdermin gel + isozam.
Secondly, clear cream + isozam
Thirdly, arynoin plus gel + hydrafacial
Fourthly, azomax for 3 days + acne clear face wash + clina gel at night + dermovat on cysts in morning + cosvit capsules for 20 days.
I have faced dryness and that's why I consulted multiple docs. I'm confused between all of these. If you could shed some guidance here then that would be really helpful.

According to the pics that you have posted, your acne is NOT nodulo-cystic. Wrong diagnosis. Please consult a real qualified dermatologist near you.

I am afraid I must examine the patient in person before I can make a firm diagnosis. Online or still pic cannot be used for diagnosis purposes. Very often mistakes are committed. What I gather from your narration, The doctors just want to do the procedure on you without treating the cause of your ailment. At least I carry out the procedures when I make sure the pathology is taken care of. Please consult a dermatologist who has overseas real degrees or diplomas from renowned universities etc. I wish you were in Karachi.
